The month of June is here and yet it's only the second week of June it has been busy. Last weekend was my baby shower and this past weekend we had Breast feeding Class, Pool Party, Graduation and of course our weekly doctor appointments. I know once our baby get here its just going to be more hectic I assume. I really haven't had a chance to blog because its been so busy. I'm at the last stage of my pregnancy I really don't know where the time went. I sorta feel at this point I'm not ready but I've got everything I need I guess its just new mommy jitters. My grandpa and aunt plus cousin are coming to visits this weekend so its going to be another busy weekend and Sunday Rodney and I planning our maternity photos. I can't wait to visits with them, Rodney and I are going to throw a fiesta party on Sunday for family that was not able to make it to for her actually graduation. so June is going be even busier month let everything flow..
2011 Graduate

My cousin graduation was great! it reminds me when I was graduating highschool just like it was yesterday.Where does the time go? I remember feeling free and I was going to handle the world all by myself well with my side kick of course my husband Rodney. Anyways it was a beauiful graduation short and quick but it was nice. Afterwards the family went out to eat. I'm glad we are able to be there to support Brittany her new journey in the world new chapter in her life. Congraulations Brittany!!!

Baby Shower

My baby shower was a really unique baby shower hosted by my lovely mother and also with the help with my husband. It was a beautiful shower all my close friends came to my shower it was nice and intimate. My mom did all the food which included theses cupcakes she made, tea sandwiches, veg plate and bean dip scoops. She made yummy punch with strawberries which are my favorite fruit. I got some great gifts and played some games.. I couldn't ask for a better shower from such wonderful people. Thank you.

What a busy weekend graduation, birthday party and prep for birth class all in one weekend means a super tried pregnant women! LOL Friday was Mary graduation she graduated with her masters what a accomplishment! I really do look up to her that's a achievement most women can't do in their life time and she did it! Congratulations! Saturday Rodney and I celebrated Sean and Bennie birthdays at a restaurant Chuy's Mexican food. We both had a great time felt like the gang was back together for once, we all hadn't seen each other for a long while. Sunday we went to a Prep for childbirth class it was a really long class both Rodney and I were really tried at this point.. It was an 8 hour class but it was informative. Learn a couple of things and was refreshed in other things. I was really glad to have awesome weekend with friends and family but this pregnancy is really starting to get to me. I'm feeling really tried lately just like first trimester, I feel like I'm slowing down feet and legs are swelling, heartburn never really eases up and stomach is starting to feel heavy. I'm really curious to know how much baby Claire weights, I'm getting anxious to know. 6 weeks left = 46 days :D I'm still working just slower but working and sleeping are my main points right now. I've got so much to get done before she gets here. Our garden is really growing the pumpkins are starting to grow outside the box and the lettuce is slowing starting to inch off the grow. "Life is growing" this pregnancy might have slow me down but life couldn't be any better. I'm ever so grateful I have such a wonderful husband that is helping me along the way.

Wednesday, May 11

Its been a rainy day, which I'm glad because at least I know the garden will be plentiful soon! I happened to look out the window today and the pumpkins are already starting to flow outside the box I'm ever so excited about this. I'm ready to see some fruit blooms but I think it might be too early. Today was really a lazy day, Rodney and I ate lunch and than I took a short nap which is starting to come a habit. Today I realize I need to start making out a list of things I want to get accomplished before baby Claire arrives such as cleaning, organizing. I'm excited about this weekend its gonna be a busy weekend. Friday, Mary a close friend is graduating college with her master degree! Saturday is first Scrapbook Meeting, I've never scrapbook but I figure its a good way to make friends in the community. Sunday is birthing prep course, you know I'm excited about this one its all day class but I really hope its informative. Lots of things to look forward too besides working hard and thinking about daily stressers. "Life is too short enjoy what you can because you don't know what's in store tommrrow"

Mothers Day, was great I worked 12hrs but we did celebrate a couple of days early. It seems to be the theme this year since it seems like I'm working every holiday. Rodney took my mom and his mother (no show) and myself out to have Mothers Day dinner. It was great to catch up with my mom. I'm glad it wasn't like last year diaster when I cooked a nice dinner for our mothers and one did show up. Anyways Everything is going well I am super exhausted, I can't get enough sleep. I went to my doctor appoinment today everything seems to be progress fairly well.. This blog is super short but I'm ready to catch some Zzzz...

Wednesday, May 4

Tuesday, May 3 was our anniversary both of us had to work. Bummer but since we celebrate a couple days early it was okay. I got home late Tuesday night because my yearly evaluation forms are going to be due soon. I got home opened the fridge and I found a edible fruit bouquet! yummy! I was so surprised I had been talking about getting one for the baby shower and I got one for our anniversary. I am so excited!!! I forgot to mention he also got me aroma therapy bath and body works bath salt, lotion and massaging oil! I am so spoiled and I love it. I'm glad it was a good week so far. We also have some exciting news Rodney is up for a full time position at his job. We hope that he can switch over soon this is gonna be such a big break for us. Its been since last July he had lost his job and got a job in January and now he might be getting a full time position. We are blessed the lord is listening to our prayers. I've gotta be more thankful for the things we have than the things I want.

Garden Update, the garden is really growing the past couple of days we have gotten showers. Every time it rains our garden just shoots off into sprouts and see a dramatic difference in the garden here in the picture is bib lettuce growing. Look their is no holes in the leaves!! I better not say that too loud because we haven't put anything in the garden.

60days or less in til baby Claire is expected to show her face.. We are getting ready for her, we got great advice from a friend and that is to go out as many dates as you can because once the baby comes they are going to be limited. I'm going to take that advice to heart so their are a couple of date nights coming up soon. Stay posted for ideas. Also my sister is going to be coming into town in July so I've been searching for things to do since we is going to be bring her kids along. I know Texas can get hot and with a newborn I'm trying to find things to do low cost but we will see. I didn't know life could get any busy, I'm 31wks pregnant and I'm working full time. I am so tried most days I can just sit on the couch and rest and be fine with it! so I hope to trick myself to stay busy and move around by making a "to do list" at least I'll have a goal each day I'm off so I can get things done.

Sunday, May 1

It isn't quite our anniversary yet but since we were both off this weekend we celebrated Saturday night. In the picture to the left we went to the Ft Worth Botanical Gardens. The rose garden where we got married 3 years ago. It is still breath taking as it was the day we got married. I can't wait for when Claire is old enough we can take her here and tell her this where we got married.

To celebrate we went to Buttons Restaurant, a soul food and Jazz restaurant. We waited for a table about 2 and half hours before we were seated. We ate fried chicken waffles and collard greens the best places to eat this because IHop has no clue how to make this dish! It was so good! I really don't like collard greens but the way they make them they are finger licking good! Chef Hicks makes all the food mostly gourmet upscale soul food. While we ate our food we listen to Mingo Fishtrap band a jazz band they were actually pretty good. Everyone was on the dance floor dancing. We meaning I opted out on dancing I really don't like dance. *Blush. It was a great 3 year anniversary celebration. I'm so happy I can't wait to see what in store for us next year.

Thursday, April 28

This weekend we are going to be celebrating our 3 year anniversary. Time goes by way too fast I can't believe its already 3 years. I'm not complaining or anything of that matter, I love my husband he has been the best thing in my life ever since I turned 16. See the truth is I like being married, strange huh? I hear couples other women complain about their husbands and being married and so far but I don't understand it at all! Its enjoyable to say I'm married and I am happy and maybe its because we are still consider newlyweds and that we don't have kids yet besides our puppy's but I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm looking forward to this weekend.

I went to my doctor appointment on Wednesday with my mother, everything is going well. I'm excited to say that. I really want a sonogram it seems like forever since I saw her well who's counting 10wks ago. I believe I still have another 6wks before we see her on the sonogram. I feel great I keep counting on the days which is only another 64day left in til my due date. I'm not looking forward to the laboring and the pushing. I just want to skip all that and receive a beautiful baby but I know that not how things work.

Well the baby shower is on, I sent out the invites and just getting things in order. My mother is so excited that the shower is on, she is the main one who is going to do the shower. Rodney and I are getting excited about everything. We plan to go the rangers game in September and I told him you know its not just gonna be "Us" anymore, Claire is going to be with us. I think things are slowly sinking in but I think its going to be a while before we actually realize its not just Us anymore.

Life as we know it

Only 67days left intil baby Claire comes into the world. So far We got everything we need expection to a couple of things. Pregancy is going good so far, I get so tried working 12hours shifts at work but I just can't wait til she arrives. Baby shower plans are no good. My mom and I were planning to do shower May 28th but at this point I don't want to hassle with the planning/cleaning. I'm saying for now forget about it! Whatever we need for baby Claire we either buy it ourselves. I'm praying everything will workout okay when I go back to work and work part~time. I'm really nervous. Our wedding anniversary celebration is this comming up sunday, I need to come up with a nice gift to get my wonderful husband. I know wants the new sidekick from t-mobile but the price is expensive. I'm going to get crafty on this! LOL Usually by this time year I will write out our plans for the summer I guess I'm falling behind. Hopefully by the end of this week i'll have a list ready.

Gardening

I'm passionate with our garden its so easy but so beauiful. This season we have a kick start in our garden everything is growing really fast! We just planted everything a week ago and their lots of seedlings. Today I found a packet of sun flowers, Rodney planted them into the garden so I can't wait to see the sun flowers bloom in the summer. The past couple of days the weather has been glommy with rain and hail! I'm so happy that its raining. Everytime it rains the garden gets a big kick start and we see a growth spurt. In the picture to the left is our garden boxes you can really tell everything is growing strong. I hope we don't have too hot of a summer.

My first Rangers game
My first game at the Texas Rangers stadium, We got really good seats in the second row in Lexus Club level which was beautiful. The wind was blowing steadily so the weather was perfect besides my hair blowing in my face every now and than. We could see all the bases without trying to lean forward or use binoculars. The Rangers played Royals at the end of the game was supposed to be fireworks but since the wind was blowing so strong the fire department did not allow the fireworks. The game was great the cheering and music playing the atmosphere was great. On top of that the Rangers won 11-7! YAY I didn't know I would enjoy the game so much. We are playing on going to another game before the season ends. It was a great date night, we got to get away from all our troubles and baby things. Focus on us and have a great night out.

Baby Shower

This week my coworkers threw me baby shower and boy was I nervous. I really didn't know what to think since I'm usually helping with the planning and getting everything together. I was really surprised I came up to where my shower was, it was beautiful transformed I would say. I didn't even recognize that I was actually at work. It was great! Everything was pink..gift bags..flowers and a homemade cake. For lunch we had tomato soup and Mexican soup, salad, and french bread everything was ever so perfect. I didn't take many pictures because I was enjoying the shower . I am so greatful my coworkers to throw me such a beautiful shower, I didn't think anyone was going to throw me a baby shower. I did take a couple of pictures of the cake (yummy) and my husband took pictures of all the gifts. Thankful my husband came with me because I got so many gifts it took two trip loads to the car. A bunch of my coworker pitch in bought one of the big gifts off the registry the travel system car seat& stroller. I am so blessed and happy that even thought about me in such a way. We can both say we are ready for our baby girl Claire to enter the world into our arms.

Last week we planted a garden..well here's the update for this week. Seedlings are starting to appear out of the soil so far I see pumpkins, bib lettuce and yellow onions have took to the soil and they are growing. I can't believe I already see progress in the garden much faster than last year we must be doing something right. As our strawberry box is producing a lot more strawberries this year already picked out 5. Also I really wanting to plant rose garden but I still have a lot of research to do about them and where to buy hybrid tea roses.

Thankful or Is it that I am blessed?

Well, I survive another day of work.. 12hrs is such a long time for a pregant women! Swollen feet and heartburn here its comes but I made it through it! When come home I drive up to beauiful roses in the front which makes me just want to smile! Dog's barking as the garage door flips open and I think to myself, I am such a lucky women to have such a great husband! How does this even correlate to the roses in the front or the dogs barking? I would'nt have such things in my life if I did'nt have such a great guy in my life. I am so thankful!

Spring Time

Life Is it me but it seems like I never get a day off? For past 7months its been a focus not to take anytime off or go on vacation but to work my regular work hours per week. Which is so hard for me because I know I've gotta finish out my work week with my hours so I can save my paid time off. I know I'm complaining but geez 3 months more than I'll be smiling from ear to ear knowing I'll get 3months off of work. Yipee :D Gardening Season 2 or should I say round 2 of gardening. The other day we ate one strawberry from our garden. I'm so proud they are much bigger this year and flavorful! We have high hopes that this season will be plentiful! This year we planted watermelon, catulope, pumpkins, bib lettuce, tomatos, cliantro, pepers, corn, grapes, onions, poatoes, swiss chard and limes. It really seems like a lot but its all in 4x4 garden container planting. We really enjoyed gardening last year and we ate so much from it was a help with our grocery bill and it was also so rewarding to able to go outside and pick what we been growing all season. Events Exciting things are going on, I love spring! This week is the Ft Worth Art festival which is a yearly thing for our family to go out look at the beauiful art and sample food. Also is our community garage sales and our first easter egg hunt for the community is this comming up weekend. The other day I brought 30eggs to fill with candy for the kids in the commmunity. I'm also excited to play Bunco with the ladies in the community. I've gotta start making friends that are better for me than the ones I have or hardly see. Also joined a Bible study keep myself busy for the moment. Vacation As far as vacation still looking into different options but I believe the finally word of where we take our trip will be LA! Our first time in California..more details posting later about it. I've really gotta sit down and write out the places we planning on taking sorta of a bucket list in a way. Thats a hobby in itself traveling and finding the best deals. Stay tune to my blog. Follow me!

Review

My review, this book its a good resource to new mothers. It had a lot of imformation in their that I did not know and things I didn't even think of. I would reccommend every new mother to read this book it gives you a good in sight of what it's going to be like breastfeeding and also some helpful tips. The book talks about breastfeeding after the baby reaches 12months. I give the book 5 stars and I know I'll be looking at the book again on a refresher and for reference as well.

I'm learning actually a lot about the area and their a lot of things I haven't even been too. (shamed to admit)

Update yearly trip

Last year we went to NYC for 8days and 7nights was an awesome trip and I'm so excited about planning on next trip. I was almost going to dismiss this yearly trip since we are having a baby. After a lot of thought and my travel bug in my pants. We are going to reconsider going on vacation plus it keeps us sain. Stay updated on my blog to find out where we are planning on going.

Baby!

3months I know will go by fast so trying to get ready for everything. I think I'm nesting just a bit but I know it will go full blown force later on. Babyshower is in the making the shower will be at my house May 28th from 1pm~4pm but everything is still in the process of planning. Long time, No Post

I'm sorry, I havent post on here for a while somehow finding out your pregnant changes alot of things of course this is one of them! Since October I've been counting the days and praying I'll be able to make it passed my 12th week of pregancy or the first trimester. Well now I'm 27wks pregnant and boy does time fly by! I've got exactly 90days before the baby arrives their is so much that needs to be done. Babyshowers, Wedding Anniversary, Babymoon and getting the house ready for the baby. Everything is just so exciting so its hard to keep up with just everything. I will attempt to make weekly updates on here.
